Compositing Toilets
LILOO
There has been a constant rise in fresh water scarcity in several parts of the country and we flush down a considerable amount of natural resource down the drain. The average person unknowingly wastes at least up to 30 gallons of water every day. It is purely injustice to the people who are not getting sufficient fresh water to drink and are barely concerned about the wastage we are doing.
LILOO is an initiative by Manifold to counter this challenge.
These are portable toilets that can be installed anywhere without any kind of external plumbing requirement. It is a complete and self-sustained system with minimal maintenance while reducing the wastage of water and creating compost from the human excreta.
These are dry toilets that use a predominantly aerobic processing system that treats excreta, typically with no water or small volumes of flush water, via composting or managed aerobic decomposition.
